Every city in Los Angeles County, from the Antelope Valley to Avalon
Los Angeles is where we are based, and one phone number covers all 88 incorporated cities around it: the Valley, the basin, the coast, Santa Clarita, the Antelope Valley and Catalina. Nine places have a page of their own, beginning with Los Angeles and the cities that touch it. Every other city appears as a lighter shape on the county map and as a plain name in the index further down, and its callers are answered the same way, with our 24-hour emergency response.
No county in the United States holds more people than Los Angeles County, and 88 incorporated cities share it. From Los Angeles, CA, SoCal Emergency Plumbing Los Angeles keeps one line open for all of them, day and night. Calls come in from the LA Basin and the Westside, from the San Fernando Valley and the San Gabriel Valley, from the South Bay beach cities and Long Beach, from Santa Clarita and the Antelope Valley up north, and from Avalon, out on Catalina.
That is a great deal of ground, so here is the plain version. Every call is handled from our Los Angeles location, and a plumber driving to Lancaster or to an address on Catalina has a far longer trip than one going to Echo Park. We do not name an arrival time we cannot keep. When you call, you are told how to stop the water or the gas at your end, and a plumber is sent out to your address from Los Angeles.
Nine places get a page here: Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Burbank, Culver City, Santa Monica, Glendale, Inglewood and San Fernando. Each one sets out its Census housing figures, the utility that supplies its water and the repairs its homes call for most, and they are less alike than the map makes them look. Only 9 percent of West Hollywood homes are detached houses, while in San Fernando that share is 73 percent and 83 percent of its housing went up before 1980. The remaining cities get identical service; they simply lack a page of their own.
Each of the 88 cities runs its own permit desk, so a water heater in Burbank is permitted by the City of Burbank and a repipe in Glendale by the City of Glendale. SoCalGas supplies the gas to most of the county, and in all of them the sewer pipe running from a house out to the public main, the lateral, is the owner's to look after. Some things do not change between addresses: the price is set down in writing and agreed before any work, our California C-36 plumbing license covers the job, with a $25,000 contractor bond on record at the CSLB, and finished repairs carry a written workmanship warranty.

Los Angeles County, drawn city by city
Each of the 88 shapes is a city we serve. Nine are filled in a darker shade and open their own page; the rest are listed under the map and get exactly the same work. Santa Catalina Island lies far offshore, so it is moved in closer and framed in a dashed box of its own.

How a call goes
What happens between your call and the finished repair
- 1
Call or write
Phone us or send the form on this site. At midday, at midnight or on a holiday, a person answers and asks what you are seeing.
- 2
Pick a time
You decide when the plumber comes. If water is still running somewhere it should not, the visit is handled as an emergency.
- 3
Written price first
The plumber tracks down the cause, then puts the price in writing. Nothing gets opened, cut or replaced until you agree to it.
- 4
Test and tidy
You see the repair working before anyone leaves. The work area is cleaned, and the old parts go away with the plumber.
Leaking now
This phone is answered at every hour, every day of the year.
First, turn off the main water valve. Many Los Angeles houses have it where the supply pipe enters the building, and others have it at the meter box by the curb. With the water off, call us and stay on the line for what to do next, while a plumber is sent from our Los Angeles location.
